From the supplier: Many of Tennessee Williams's plays have St. Louis as a setting and indeed it was St. Louis which transformed him as a dramatist. At the age of seven he was separated from the grandparents who had raised him and from his sister Rose to be sent to St. Louis. Williams later wrote that it was in St. Louis that he learned the difference between rich and poor. Williams's St. Louis plays must be divided into those with a St. Louis setting and St. Louis sources. A list of plays belonging to each category is given.
